- State fees relating to the publication of entries in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded (Official Announcements) (e-mail for client support: [email protected]);
- State fees relating to trademarks and industrial design proceedings by the Patent Office;
- State fees relating to patents and utility models by the Patent Office;
- State fees relating to appeals or disputes submitted to the Board of Appeals (see the website of the Patent Office);
- State fees relating to actions in the Commercial Register and deposits of share capital;
- State fees relating to actions in the Non-profit Associations and Foundations Register;
- State fees relating to actions in the Commercial Pledge Register;
- State fees relating to actions in the Land Register;
- State fees relating to court cases in county courts, administrative courts, and circuit courts, including state fees relating to the expediated payment order procedure;
- Advance payments for the costs of witness, translation, or expert analysis;
- Advance payments for bankruptcy trustees;
- State fees for appeals submitted to the Supreme Court;
- Other fees, fines, penalties, or costs imposed by courts.

- When paying a state fee, the unique reference number must be included in a payment instruction. The unique reference number is provided for a payment of state fee after the submission of a request for an action in e-Business Register; e-Land Register; e-Notary Self-Service; the Court Information System; or in the Official Announcements information system; or by the Land Registry and Registration Department of Tartu County Court; by courts; or by the Patent Office.
- However, a reference number is not used when the state fee is paid before the request for an action is submitted. In case you have not been provided with a unique reference number for a payment of state fee for a respective action in the government information system or for a court case, the title of an action or a reference to the respective clause in the State Fees Act should be included in the payment instruction.
Upon payments of state fees to the Estonian Patent Office, you should provide information on payment details to [email protected], and in the case of state fees for the Board of Appeals of industrial property rights, you should provide information on payment details to [email protected]. - The amounts paid into the bank accounts of the Ministry of Finance listed above are recorded in the payee’s state fees and collateral account in the e-MTA (the Tax and Customs Board’s information system).
- In case of overpayment of state fees or cancellation of court proceedings, the request for a refund of state fee should be submitted to the respective government entity or a court where this action was intended to be carried out.
- In case of an erroneous payment to one of the Ministry of Finance’s bank accounts listed above, the request for a refund should be submitted to the Estonian Tax and Customs Board.
