- Coordinating and implementing the state’s fiscal policy;
- Planning tax and customs policy, and maintaining a stable tax system;
- Economic analysis and forecast;
- Development of public services;
- Coordinating regional affairs;
- Reviewing businesses state aid permit applications and advising aid donors;
- Advising suppliers and tenderers on carrying out public procurements, and supervising public procurements;
- Collecting national statistics;
- Organising and coordinating the implementation of the government’s internal control system as well as the professional activities of internal auditors;
- State accountancy;
- Execution of payments for State institutions, investment of financial reserves, borrowing for the State and granting of loans and state guarantees;
- Financial management of foreign assistance received through EU cohesion policy funds, Recovery and Reisilence Facility, but also the Norwegian and EEA Financial Mechanisms, Estonian-Swiss Cooperation Programme and others available;
- Coordinating the aid available to Estonia;
- Financial and insurance policy;
- Planning and coordinating the state’s real estate and participation policies.
