Today, on September 25, Estonia issued EUR 90 million worth of 6-month and EUR 190 million worth of 12-month T-bills. T-bills are sold via an auction with competitive bidding and are aimed at institutional investors only. The bonds were issued to refinance maturing T-bills.

The average yield to maturity of the issued 6-month and 12-month T-bills was 3.172% and 2.862%, respectively. These T-bills were issued within the framework of the T-bill program approved by the Minister of Finance in 2020. The framework provides the opportunity to repeatedly issue T-bills with a maturity of up to 12 months, the cost of which depends on the market conditions at the time of issuance. T-bill issues are carried out to manage the cash flows of the state.
